Anthony W. Lavender, CBO
Qualifications and Certifications:
Anthony holds 14 ICC certifications in the disciplines of Building, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Inspections including an ICC certification as a Certified Building official. Anthony’s certificates are available for review by request. He is also registered as a Code Enforcement Officer with the State of South Carolina Building Codes Council.
Experience:
Anthony currently serves as a Multi-certified Field Inspector for RCI. Prior to accepting this position, he served as Zoning Administrator and Deputy Building Official for the City of Gaffney, South Carolina, where he has been employed for over 25 years.
Anthony is a member of many professional associations including the South Carolina Plumbing, Gas, and Mechanical Association, the Association of State Flood Plain Managers, and the Cherokee County Home Builder’s Association. A veteran Code Enforcement Official, Anthony is very familiar with members of the construction industry in upstate South Carolina. Anthony averages over 35 hours of continuing education training in order to keep current on code changes and revisions.
